This August 15th, 2011 Simply Music in association with The National Concert Hall will run its 5th year of successful In-Service 5-Day Teacher Training Courses, approved by The Dept. of Education & Skills.

Last August, Simply Music in association with The National Concert Hall ran its 4th year of successful In-Service Teacher Training Courses, approved by The Dept. of Education & Skills.
Simply Music has just completed a very successful week of Simply Music Interactive Technology Music Workshops in The National Concert Hall. These 5 Day “In Service Teacher Training Workshops” are approved by the Department of Education & Skills and were attended by over 20 very enthusiastic teachers and musicians from around Ireland.

What some teachers said about Simply Music’s
In-Service 2010 course in
The National Concert Hall
(August 16th - 20th, 2010):
“We were enticed to try everything out and enjoy the musical experience. We were talked through the various instruments, how to use them and how to put them together in an ‘orchestral’/unison. The software was excellent”
“Please make the CD Rom available! It was so easy to follow and user friendly. An excellent tool. The future of music teaching, particularly teaching rhythm and beat & the basics of playing together”.
Catherine Bailey, Resource/Learning Support, Holy Cross N.S. Upper Kilmacud Road, Dundrum, Dublin 14.
“Excellent – very practical and useful”. “The part of the workshops that were most benefit to me were the Interactive sessions – greta to actually do/try what I’ll be trying to encourage the children to do”.
Excellent facilitators – layering of songs looked effortless or was the result of really good planning. Lovely attitude, nice & relaxed and very open to questions.”
Margaret Quirke, Piercestown N.S., Drinagh, Co. Wexford.
“I think the interactive cd-rom is well thought out and fills a gap in the market. I would certainly use the “As Gaeilge” version in my class.”
Orlaith Breathnach,S.N. Inis Méain, Oileáin Árann, Co. Na Gaillimhe.
“An excellent course. Facilitators (Paul & Sile) were meticulously prepared and delivered the course both professionally and personally.”
Caitríona Ní Threasaigh, Divine Word National School, Marley Grange, Rathfarnham, D.16.

“An excellent course for both beginners and those with music backgrounds. There is something for everyone in this course.”
Edel McKiernan, Castle Park School, Dalkey, Co. Dublin.

“I have found this course excellent in terms of its overall presentation, content and its relevance.”
Paula Ellis, St. Michaels Special National School, College Street, Baldoyle, Dublin 3.

“Fantastic course. I have been looking for a course to do for the last 3 years. Got loads of ideas and feel great confidence now going back into the classroom. Really enjoyable.”
Sarah Kerr, Mount Anville Junior School, St. Michaels Special National School, College Street, Baldoyle, Dublin 3.

“It was one of the most enjoyable & worthwhile courses I have ever attended. I would see it as making a huge contribution towards improving the teaching of music in the schools under the Composing, Listening and Responding strands.”
Patricia Burns, Deputy Principal, Our Lady of the Wayside National School, Kilternan, Dublin 18.

Simply Music and Johnstown B.N.S. Dún Laoghaire performed music technology workshops in the Ark, last April, as part of Ireland’s first National Music Day and we were delighted that RTE covered it for their News2Day programme on Network 2.
