Simply Music / Music Generation South Dublin / Foróige, Youth Organisation Project

Absolutely delighted to be starting a new 10 week Simply Music iPad Music Composition Project with Foróige, the leading youth organisation in Ireland.

Huge thanks to Music Generation South County Dublin for helping to make this happen. Hopefully this will be the start of many collaborations and our first venture will be with Foroige's Peer Education Project in Tallaght.

15 iPad's, Midi-Keyboards, Electric Guitars, Bass Guitars, Microphones and our JamHub - Silent Rehearsal Studios. In addition we will be using Apple's GarageBand and iMovies software, which will surely help to add to this audio/visual experience!

iPad Music Workshops - Lucan Community College 2015

Simply Music paid a return visit to Lucan Community College and delivered 3 days of iPad Music Composition Workshops to 120+ students.

Using a complement of 15 iPads, Midi Keyboards, Electric Guitars, Bass Guitars, Microphones, recording equipment, GarageBand music software and JamHubs - ‘silent rehearsal studios’ so you don’t have to worry about the workshop interfering with other classes in the school/youth club. 

 

Music Generation Wicklow / Simply Music - Culture Night Workshop

Simply Music is delighted to be working again with Music Generation Wicklow, this time for Culture Night in Wicklow Gaol on Friday September 19th.

Music Generation Wicklow presents a fun filled workshop for all those budding musicians hiding out there!  Music Generation Wicklow strives to involve young people in music experience and education within the county.  This workshop is suitable for children aged between 8 and 12 years and promises to be great fun as well as very informative.  Children are introduced to percussion instruments and ‘sing-along’ and ‘play-along’ with Boomwhackers – colour coded tuned plastic musical pipes.  This workshop is provided by Simply Music who recently won an award for their use of technology in music education.Music Generation would like thank Wicklow Gaol for the wonderful venue.Booking Required.

What is iClass Sounds?

iClass Sounds is an interactive Composition / Song-writing / Performance Workshop for students from 12-17 years.

Using a complement of 15 individual iPad's, midi keyboards, electric guitars, bass guitars, mics, jam hubs, recording equipment and music software, we take advantage of modern technology to engage your students in live music composition and performance, through a blend of individualised and collective learning in a fun environment.

The programme is designed to respond to young people’s familiarity with technology and enhance their creative development and musical exploration.

Simply Music, on behalf of Music Generation Wicklow, delivered a 4-day iPad Music & Technology Summer Camp in St.Kilian’s Community School, Ballywaltrim, Bray, Co. Wicklow.

Using midi keyboards, electric and bass guitars, microphones and Apple's "GarageBand" software, the participants created a number of tracks. 

In addition, we looked at iMovie and there seemed to be a lot of interest in creating a few “horror movie” trailers!!!

We bring the technology & the musicians to you. Workshops are facilitated by one/two professional musicians who arrive with our JamHub ‘silent rehearsal studios’ so you don’t have to worry about the workshop interfering with other workshops/classes in your premises/school.

• Engagement with professional musicians
